How to heal bladder cancer without chemo and radiation

When 75 yo John from England started my BBT intensive oncology program, he had a diagnosis of bladder cancer. But he decided to take matters into his own hands and said no the Standard Of Care treatments.

Listen to an amazing story about the reversal of bladder cancer with an integrative Non-Pharmacological Metabolic Approach - without chemo and radiotherapy.

My Journey to Healing: A Personal Health Report
In December 2023, at the age of 74, I became concerned when I noticed blood in my urine. Aside from this alarming symptom, I felt perfectly well. I was fit, a non-smoker, rarely drank alcohol, exercised daily, and took no medication.

I sought medical advice. My doctor recommended an ultrasound scan of my bladder and a series of blood tests. The ultrasound revealed an abnormality, and a subsequent photographic scan confirmed the presence of a tumor on the bladder wall.

During a consultation, it was explained to me that the tumor needed to be removed. Surgery was performed, and the bulk of the tumor was successfully excised. However, at my follow-up appointment, I was informed that some of the tumor had been left behind to avoid perforating the bladder wall.

The oncologist recommended an aggressive treatment plan: chemotherapy, followed by radiotherapy, and ultimately the surgical removal of my bladder. I was scheduled for three rounds of chemotherapy, each consisting of three doses—a total of nine sessions. Having taken no regular medication or antibiotics for decades, aside from a COVID-19 vaccine in 2022 for travel purposes, I was unsure how my body would respond to such intensive treatment.

At my first chemotherapy session, I spent six hours in the clinic as various chemical infusions were administered into my bloodstream. I walked home feeling fine. However, the following week was one of the worst of my life. I felt utterly debilitated, struggling even to move between my bedroom and the bathroom. I had never felt so unwell.

I grew deeply concerned that this treatment, while targeting the cancer, was also severely compromising the rest of my body. After careful consideration, I made the difficult but firm decision to stop chemotherapy. I did not want to die, but I knew intuitively that this treatment was not the right path for me.

A Different Approach
As a practitioner of preventive and holistic health, I turned to a trusted colleague for advice. He suggested I contact Misha Sakharoff. From our first conversation his approach resonated with me.

For over 25 years, I have taught children the importance of nasal breathing as part of their orthodontic treatment. Before retiring, I spent 50 years as a clinical dentist. When Misha began discussing the role of CO₂ levels in the blood and their impact on health, I immediately recognized the potential of his programme. His approach aligned perfectly with my core health beliefs. Treat the cause.

Misha explained that his program required strict adherence to a specific diet and exercise regimen. His comprehensive, daily videos detail every step of the process. The most significant change I made was to my diet. I adopted a strict regimen consisting solely of fatty meat from four-legged animals, fatty fish, eggs, offal, and bone broth. Water. Nothing else. I committed fully to this diet and maintained it for
the next ten months.

The program also included daily breathing exercises, which were familiar to me, and guided meditations, which were new but proved invaluable in balancing my sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems. As a retired clinician, I found that simply sitting in an armchair for hours with my feet up was a form of therapy in itself—one that suited me well. As I progressed through the program, I incorporated additional physical exercises,
balance training, and flexibility routines. One of the most crucial aspects I learned was the power of spirit. I had a strong will to live. My teaching career, which had flourished since my "retirement," was something I was passionate about and wanted to continue.

Facing the Oncologist
When I informed the hospital of my decision to discontinue chemotherapy, a nursing sister called me back and suggested I attend a follow-up appointment with the oncologist. I agreed.

I took my brother with me for support. I explained my decision to the oncologist and the reasoning behind it. Although she did not agree with my choice, she respected it and assured me that if I experienced any health issues in the future, they would be
available to assist me. My brother asked what percentage of patients pursued an alternative path like mine. She responded, "About five percent." He then asked what typically happened to that five percent. The oncologist simply stated: "they die."

Despite her prognosis, she suggested keeping me under observation and offered a follow-up scan in six months. While she did not explicitly say so, her tone implied she did not expect me to be alive by then.

A Year Later
Three months later, she called to check on me. I was feeling very good and had been very active in the preceding twelve weeks. She scheduled a scan for December 2024 —one year after my initial diagnosis.

In late January 2025, I met with the same oncologist to discuss the results of the last scan taken in December 2024. Again, I was accompanied by my brother, and I was anxious to hear the news. To my relief—and the oncologist's surprise—the results were overwhelmingly
positive. The tumor had not spread through my lymphatic system. The lesion had healed completely. The bladder wall had regained its full thickness in the area where surgery had been performed. The oncologist was as surprised as I was delighted. The discipline required to maintain a strict diet, an exercise regimen, and daily blood tests had been rewarded. I felt better than I had in years.

Moving Forward
Under Misha's guidance, I have since modified my diet slightly. While still
maintaining a ketogenic approach, I have now incorporated some vegetables. I share my story in the hope that it may inspire others to develop the discipline needed to take charge of their own health.

Heartfelt thanks to Misha Sakharoff.

On our program we have a whole lot of experience working with people with oncological diagnoses - both men and women. Experiencing progress in metabolic changes with breathing normalisation, blood glucose measurement and inflammation markers we slowly remove out crutches phasing out medications and supplements - relying on resurrection of the innate abilities to self-regulate by the body itself.

Below are John's weekly average measurements in the SHIP app during his 9 months of training. In the graphs below you can see the development of his metabolic health parameters over these 8 weeks of work on the SHIP Metabolic Health program, which is a NPMA - Non-Pharmacological Metabolic Approach!

DAILY MEASUREMENTS ON THE PROGRAM:

- Morning control pause (CP), sec - breath-holding time after exhale until first discomfort
- Evening control pause (CP), sec - breath-holding time after exhale until first discomfort
- Max pause (MP), sec - maximum breath-holding time after exhale
- Morning pulse (mP), bpm
- Evening pulse (eP), bpm
- Morning glucose (mBG), mmol/L
- Morning ketones (mBK), mmol/L
- Energy level (1-5), accessed in the evening (explained below)

Main metabolic measures after the 9 months of training:

- Morning control pause mCP, weekly average (Blue) has increased almost three-fold from 20 to 42 sec - on the way to 60 sec, which the level of Normal health, where according to Dr. Buteyko the metabolic state is normalising and the chronic diseases incl. cancer are being reversed!

- Morning maximum pause mMP, weekly average (Red) more than doubled from 45 to 95 sec - even over 90 sec, which the level of Normal health, according to Buteyko original breathing evaluation chart he called "Pulmonary Ventilation Criteria", shown below.

- Morning pulse mP, weekly average  (Yellow) went down from 75 to 60 bpm, which diminishes the load for the whole cardio-vascular system and uses the freed energy to balance CNS towards parasympathetic dominance, which is great for both the freedom of physical activity - and for the strong immunity!

We measure the degree of ketogenic adaptation

When we enter ketosis, all the cells in our body begin to learn how to use fat as their main source of energy. This process takes time. As the body adapts, the ability of our enzymes (digestive enzymes, for example, lipase, protease etc.) to digest food invariably increases with time. As a beneficial side effect, the body will make ketones so that they can be burned by the brain.

As you become more and more accustomed to burning ketones, their measured levels will actually come down because you will be slowly becoming better at burning them. So they will not be accumulating in the blood as much and to the same extent anymore, because you will be burning them more efficiently and rapidly. This is the principle of adaptation.

For the complete breakdown of fats to occur, our body needs to start a number of enzymatic processes - and this adaptation takes a certain amount of time. That is why there are four stages of keto-adaptation, lasting from several days to several years.

In other words, it's NOT enough to see the low glucose levels and the high ketone levels, as it will not show that the body is really adapting to higher and higher effectiveness of using the fat as the main source of energy. We need to see that the effectiveness and the energy coefficient is getting higher. This is of greatest importance for the reversal of oncological processes according to Warburg effect.

The graph below testifies how the morning blood measurements can show the progress of ketogenic adaptation during 9 months.

1. Glucose level (Blue) - In order to access adaptation we choose the glucose level mBG in mmol/L that lowest and the most prevalent over longer period of time, here we chose 4.6 mmol/L. It will form the baseline for our adaptation assessment.

2.Ketone level (Purple- then we look at the levels of ketones, corresponding to the days where we had the aforementioned 4.6 mmol/L in glucose measurement. We can see that the morning ketones corresponding to the base line of glucose at 4.6 mmol/L were slowly diminishing from 3.4 to 1.2 mmol/L during 9 months.

This is witnessing of improved stages of enzymatic (ketogenic) adaptation by the body cells to burning fat as a preferred energy source. This is of greatest importance for the reversal of oncological processes, as it disrupts the mutagenic process of cancer cells.

3.Energy level (Green) - in order to be sure that we really experience the change in available energy we need to measure the energy. But how?
On the program we decided to access the energy in digits from 1 to 5 in intervals of 0.5. It is estimated daily in the evening subjectively at a glance as an average for the day.

It requires training for proper estimation. After 1-2 weeks of daily assessment, such a daily average becomes more accurate. In the SHIP app it is shown in the graphs. This gives the ability to correlate control pause and sleep quality, as well as ketogenic adaptation with energy levels. This will be important in stopping the detrimental effects of improper lifestyles and changing them.

In the 9 months of training on the SHIP program, John's energy rose from 2 to 4 on average.

JOHN'S RECOVERY WAS MADE POSSIBLE BY HIS DECISION TO TAKE HIS HEALTH INTO HIS OWN HANDS

Such seemingly insignificant aspects create effective synergy and lead to recovery.
That's why cancer goes away when the person takes full 100% responsibility.

If you have an oncological diagnosis and you would like the same results as John - you need to take full responsibility for your health.

Being diagnosed with cancer (especially Stage 3-4) or other serious life-threatening diagnosis - requires more intensive daily work with additional support. In this case, our SHIP metabolic program might not be for you.

Here I would recommend you to consider applying for our intensive BBT program with additional intensive support. Please focus exclusively on the BBT program, an intensive program for brain tumours - where we now also take people with other types of oncology - just as it was in case of John. A person must be 100 percent ready for serious daily work. You must follow the selection process for the program - learn more about my work using NPMA - Non-Pharmacological Metabolic Approach: https://sakharoff.com/
