Week 35: WELD week 4 – Alzheimers & Neurodegenerative Diseases

Last week was about core strength and mobility. This is very crucial to know the difference between sick and healthy kinds of fitness. It’s not just simple mechanics and it’s not about pumping body parts and muscles.  We were going in depth talking about the way our brain is orchestrating the complexity of movement. Have you ever heard about mechanotransduction?

This week is our fourth WELD week – Week of Education on Lifestyle Disease. I’m exited to present for you a lot of very interesting information about causes, triggers and symptoms of Alzheimers and other Neurodegenerative Diseases. This week is a true lifesaver week, because we are in the middle of a true pandemic of Neurodegenerative disease. We need to know about the latest research on this matter and the practical strategies to avoid degeneration of the brain!

We have an extra exercise video today, a replay from the course week 26. It promotes a combination of hypoxia (O2↓) and hypercapnia (CO2↑) in the lungs. This combination further promotes cellular oxygenation. You can see it from the different angle now because this exercise is also enhancing cellular oxygenation of the brain cells and normalise mitochondrial metabolism – which has a potential of stopping the degeneration of the neurons.

It is important that you follow the correct order – there is an important detail that cannot be skipped!

1. Start by watching the GENERAL DISCOURSE to get an insight into this week’s subject – approx. 8 min.:

2. When you have completed this, you can proceed to PHYSIOLOGY – approx. 37 min.:

For details look at the whiteboard picture with greater resolution: Whiteboard – WELD week 4 – Alzheimers & Neurodegenerative Diseases

3. And so on to TRAINING – approx. 4 min.:

4. And then an extra replay video on brain oxygenation – approx. 3 min.:

NB! It is important to view the videos in the correct order – there are details that must not be overlooked!

Good training!
