Hi Barb, no long breatholds for this condition. No controlled medium- or high level air-hunger – only very light air-hunger exclusively through relaxation. That’s what Buteyko technique is about! Read more and consider this: https://sakharoff.com/ship-en/

Hi Khaled, to reverse these conditions it will require very serious daily training combined with lifestyle change – including stable nutritional ketosis with ketogenic eating regimen.

Dear Gayano, I have several week in my online course about eye health, also talking about macular degeneration. I will send you a direct link to one of the weeks with 4 videos explaining the physiology and training. Yes I think Buteyko can help her to at least stop degeneration, yes. There are several possible pathways to this. Here are just some of them. 1. Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) can be triggered and sustained by abnormal ratio of ROS, NOS, reactive species of oxygen og nitrogen – due to several factors, as lack of carotenoids and/or dysfunctional breathing, chronic over-breathing – hyperventilation.

Buteyko deals with that – very much helped by normalisation of nutrition, with presence the right fats – and especially absence of the wrong fats, that is crucial for age-related macular degeneration. Macula placed in the back og the eye is a tiny 5 mm area consists of the cells called rods and cones that define our sight, especially central vision – which is essential for your musician-friend’s ability to sight-read the music. Right behind these cells there is a special layer called retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) that supplies them with proper blood and lymph flow to provide for: 1. Oxygenation, 2. Micro- and macro-nutrient uptake and 3. Detox flow from the back of the eye. I take care of all those aspects in my 1:1 and online programmes.

I will send you a mail with login to my program – you can forward it to your friend!

One love <3
Misha

Dear Ed, though pathogenesis of Glaucoma is not 100% clear, but the symptoms are increased intraocular pressure and the development of atrophy of the optic nerve. Buteyko exercises when correctly taught and thoroughly implemented on daily basis tend to optimise oxygenation of the components of the eye, retina, macula, epitheium, cons and rods – thus normalising the cell function and their ability to regenerate. It also decreases intraocular pressure and optimises nerve function. I have several weeks on my 50-weeks course that are dealing with functional rehabilitation of sight function. I will provide you with access (to your mail address) to the week 20 of my course where I explain it in details.

Just one detail, when you have any kind of intracranial and intraocular pressure, as with glaucoma and cataracts, try never to lean low or lift heavu things! All the training has to be very light to moderate.

Respectfully
Misha Sakharoff
