Dear Melissa, there’s a lot of different opinions on that issue. I prefer saying to my clients that natural keto-adaptation is first priority to experience the major benefits of fasting. I help them to ease the transition by explaining and nudging. Normally I do not promote using exogenous ketones. But maybe in some situations they could be helpful.

I’ve read a lot about fasting and ketosis, and i would like to know your opinion as to whether there is any harm with taking a ketone supplement to ease into the fast for a non keto adapted patient?
