Can one survive
a brain tumor?

Have you or a loved one been diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumor? Then the above question is probably keeping you awake at night. And rightfully so! After 50 years and billions of dollars being spent on research, the life expectancy for people with GBM - Glioblastoma (the most common type of brain tumor) remains staggeringly low.

When Misha Sakharoff - the CEO and founder of the Sakharoff Protocol - found out that a dear friend of his was diagnosed with an aggressive tumor in the brain (glioma grade IV), he started a research journey that would eventually lead to the complete remission of his friend's tumor. The doctors were astonished, but the scans showed that all that was left was scar tissue. Misha has since devoted his life to building a working model that can help people survive aggressive brain tumors.

“I want to make it clear that for political and legal reasons – I do not treat cancer. But I do treat my clients who have cancer. My goal is to help my clients boost nutritional status, enhance immune function and unleash the body’s innate ability to heal itself. By doing so, I engender the overall health of my clients, improve their quality of life, and in many cases positively affect disease outcomes.”  -Misha Sakharoff

Understanding what cancer is, will help you understand how to beat it.

  • Cancer is not a single factor disease but a multi-factorial syndrome - triggered by a dysfunctional cellular environment.
  • A dysfunctional environment consists more often than not of multiple factors, such as: chronic inflammation, permeability of the gut and the other membranes, autoimmune reactions, chronic stress and hyperventilation among others. When combined, these factors can create a cellular environment that is favorable for cancerous cell mutations.
  • Whether these factors result into a brain tumor, another type of cancer or another lifestyle disease depends on one's genetic code in the DNA. But the cause of cancer is not your DNA. The cause is a chronic imbalance in your body's cellular environment.
  • In other words, cancer is the symptom of many unhealthy environmental conditions that trigger dysfunction of the cells and their uncontrolled mutation.
  • All the above implies that cancer is not a genetic disease, but actually a metabolic disease - and has to be addressed as such.

If the unhealthy environmental conditions can be addressed successfully, the brain's cell environment will normalize and become uninhabitable for cancer cells - making it very difficult for cancer to thrive.

The Sakharoff Protocol is a new health paradigm designed to address these unhealthy environmental conditions and reverse cancer in the process. Conventional treatments such as surgery, radiation and chemotherapy do not address the underlying conditions and the real causes of cancer. They target the tumor directly, leaving the underlying conditions untouched.
This is why recurrence with secondary tumors is a very common phenomenon after conventional treatments - especially in case of aggressive brain tumors as Glioblastoma, Astrocytoma, Medulloblastoma and others.

"The aggressive brain tumours are considered almost impossible to cure. Very few patients survive. Even the best neurosurgeons and oncological teams have low survival rates. The Sakharoff Protocol is an attempt to change the paradigm. Misha Sakharoff and his team introduce a whole new range of interventions, that have never been used in such a comprehensive setting - and which are simultaneously totally non-toxic.

I see Sakharoff Protocol as the first attempt to integrate interdependencies of cellular and mitochondrial metabolism with lifestyle, behaviour and training routines. The fact that this bootcamp provides its participants with daily practical assistance through 26 weeks gives hope that it will be possible to actually stop and reverse proliferation of the aggressive high-grade tumours like GBM and DIPG. I'm following this bootcamp closely."

The Sakharoff Protocol

to Beat Brain Tumors

The Sakharoff Protocol is learned and implemented during a 6-month Intensive Program. You are taught the fundamentals of your health and how to restore it. The emphasis lies on dealing with various types of brain cancer in children and adults. This integrative program optimizes the body’s innermost functions including breathing, nutrition, mental-emotional awareness plus physical and immune resilience. This promotes a positive change of the entire cell metabolism of the body.
The training builds up very gradually in intensity and complexity over a period of 6 months. Therefore, you will not be overwhelmed on this program. You will find that much of the program's content is in sharp contrast to the typical modern lifestyle. Therefore, the Protocol is introduced with daily learning and nudging where small steps ensure gradual but significant change in the brain cell environment. Yes, you can survive a brain tumor.

Is it suited for me or for my loved one?

Yes, if...

  • I am ready to take responsibility for my health
  • I want to reduce the effects of stress at every level
  • I am open to changing my nutrition and learning about essential nutrients
  • I am willing to learn and apply a proven way to breathe for optimum health
  • I am prepared to commit time to do exercises and measurements on a daily basis

The 5 aspects of the Sakharoff Protocol

1. Nutrition

By respecting the lessons of human evolution, which are confirmed by modern science, the nutritional regimen includes all the essential macro and micro-nutrients - and literally nothing more. Essential Ketogenics reduces chronic inflammation throughout the body and normalizes permeability of all the body's membranes.
The cellular environment becomes uninhabitable to cancer cells and supportive of healthy cells at the same time. This reverses the disease progression over time. Fasting regimens are also an important part of the Program.

2. Mental Resilience

All aspects of human life contribute to our health. We are designed to handle the acute stress of life. When this natural response breaks down, we face chronic stress which we are not designed to handle. Over time, this leads to chronic diseases. The process of turning this around involves learning to observe ourselves and implement different ways to perceive and respond to the environment. In time, every activity begins with a relaxed focus.

3. Breathing

One hundred years of science confirm the value of raising our tolerance for CO2 together with other benefits of the optimal gas balance in the lungs. This promotes optimal oxygenation of the cells.
Paradoxically to what is commonly believed, we need to learn to breath less to get more oxygen to the cells.
We move towards this healthier state by practicing Buteyko Breathing techniques. In this way, a new lifestyle is established that promotes a natural resilience to deal with internal and external stressors.

4. Physical Resilience

Moderate movement is used to stabilize the bone structure, strengthen the body's balance and improve mobility. It improves the body’s joints and cartilage and restores the lymphatic flow. This is crucial for the detoxification process to occur properly. The exercises are inspired by an ancient Indian health system called Dharma Marga. All physical exercises are performed from the Hara point, a focus point for "one-pointed-attention". This is to promote the greatest healing potential inspired by the Samurai legacy.

5. Immune Resilience

All of the physical training is intimately related to our body’s immune response. The mind attempts to assess any threat and respond to the many stressors we encounter. Acute stress response is normal and quickly recoverable. However, if stress becomes chronic it has a detrimental effect on one's immunity. We need to return to the relaxation response in order to effectively deal with internal stressors such as viruses, bacteria, fungi, parasites - and cancer. The exercises promote this response by activating and strengthening the immune system.
