not quite a substitute Paul, because
1. you can not distribute the physical load between upper and lower extremities
2. you can not maintain a “normal” upright structure enabling relaxation of abdominal muscles
3. ergo, you can not diminish breathing through relaxation because of 1. and 2.

Elliptical is quite unique in terms of connecting natural physical movement with optimal breathing regime.

I have an exercise bike with different resistance levels and a handleber grip pulse monitor. I use this daily, more recently with mouth closed and relaxation and trying for diminished breathing. Is this an suitable substitute for the eliptical training machines? thanks – Paul

1-When is the best time to exercise? morning/afternoon?
– Right now in the intensive healing period it’s great to fill your day with different kind of exercise – but focus on RELAXATION in movement.
2-Is HIIT Exercise the best?
– No actually not necessarily now. Because we need to prioritise focus on breathing, connecting fitness with health – and NOT the results.
3-Should I keep my pulse below a certain rate during exercise?
– GOOD question. YES – max 80-85% of your aerobic threshold with CLOSED MOUTH/NOSE ONLY BREATHING!!
4-Can you explain the steps exercise column on the daily log sheet?
– You will get this exercise video next week.
